Astoria, Oregon
The State of Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) engaged a major brownfield site cleanup and restoration of the development site enabling years later the development of the Astoria Gateway II family project. The sandy soil and compromised landfill in the superior location also called for engineered foundation piling of up to 60 feet in depth. At conclusion due to positive financing from the federal ARRA Recovery Act & stimulus funding, a superior family and mid-rise residential affordable complex was built in the Mill Pond Village Planned Development in the Northern Coast community of Astoria, Oregon.
